President's Message

Dear Alumni and Friends,

The PolyU SPEED Alumni Association (SAA) was founded in 2003 by some of our most dedicated graduates, with a simple vision: to connect people and share knowledge across generations. Over the years, as SPEED has enhanced its curriculum and expanded its programmes, SAA has thrived — growing into a vibrant community of more than 14,600 graduates.

As President, my mission is aligned with that of my predecessors: to bring value to our alumni as they continue to grow, both personally and professionally.

"Alumni connections are not only about memories, but also about opportunities — opportunities to learn, to network, and to inspire one another."

We warmly welcome you to join our events and programmes, whether to reconnect with cohorts, expand your horizons, or discover new avenues for growth. Together, we can strengthen alumni bonds and grow with our alma mater. These are also the values that guide our leadership team — integrity, collaboration, and service — ensuring that SAA remains a trusted platform for alumni engagement and collective growth.

With gratitude and commitment,

Aaron Lau (劉正剛先生)

Our Organization

SAA operates as an independent alumni body, governed by an elected Executive Committee. The Committee oversees membership, events, finances, and strategic direction, ensuring alignment with SPEED’s mission and values. Our fiscal year runs from 1 July to 30 June, and our official office is located at the PolyU West Kowloon Campus.

Our Leadership Team

The Executive Committee comprises alumni volunteers from diverse professional and academic backgrounds who share a common commitment to strengthening alumni engagement, promoting lifelong learning, and creating meaningful value for members. Together, they guide the strategic direction of the Association while supporting programmes, partnerships, and initiatives that benefit the wider SPEED community.
